-5.27.08- So some of the updates I talked about in the last update took place tonight. I took the Broadcasting Facts and the Technical Facts pages and combined them. You should take note though that in case they don't show up for some reason the direct links to the "old" pages are on the top of the new page. If that is the case though, the old pages probably won't work either since the code is copied directly over to the new combined page. In addition to that minor update there is a new link under the Station section. This will lead to a new page where I put in a calendar that will be used hopefully in the future to keep everyone up to date with concerts in Philadelphia, Baltimore, Lancaster, and other close by places. Also posted will be the station meetings so that there is another way for everyone to see when they are and can't complain that they didn't know when they are/were. It's using Google Calendar which is a free service, and I'm hoping that it does not affect the website. If you experience problems with it let me know and I'll see what I can do to fix it. As always if something else that isn't new isn't working now or maybe just hasn't been let me know. There will be more updates hopefully sooner then later. Enjoy. -5.14.08- Update Two The Office listings are all updated to the current holders of their respectful positions. This is to correspond with the recent station elections. Consolidation and movement of the links are starting. Don't worry though, because everything that was available before will still be available after the update is complete. I will provide a list of things that have changed once all the updates are done. Also if the site is down at all please wait a little bit and try again. If it is down for more then an hour please contact me immediately. Thank you for your patience. -5.14.08- Update One There is a new webmaster and it just so happens to be the Music Director Geoffrey Baum. I'm going to be updating a whole bunch of things for next year so keep on the look out over the summer. If you notice anything that looks funny or wrong or what-have-you let me know and I'll fix it pronto. Also if you'd like to see something new on the website or have ideas to share that you think would make the site better let me know. -11.8.07- Yep, I'm still here. I went around fixing a bunch of outdated information, rearranged some things on the front page, removed broken links, and fought to get the webcam working. It's still not, but maybe in the next couple days. -4.30.07 - The web broadcasts are back up now. Sorry for any trouble. Office listings have been changed to reflect the recent elections / interviews. The position of Secretary has been merged with the position of Public Relations Coordinator. -2.21.07 - The website has been going down randomly, but it appears to be functional for now. The program grid is finally working and has been updated to the Spring semester schedule. - 10.01.06 - Shawn V Martin took over as the new webmaster. There are plenty of things on this site that are outdated. Send him an email at webmaster@wixq.com to get them fixed! - 09.16.02 - The new CD/Vinyl catalogs were put up today. Hopefully this will put a stop to the common complaint that the catalogs are down. - 07.18.02 - Nearly the entire site has been converted to ASP by this point. Also, on the 14th, WIXQ.com was moved to a new server. Perhaps this will increase speed in page-loading. Who knows? - 05.28.02 - Finally got the Format-Finder back up and running after a good year or so of disrepair and neglect. Enjoy! - 04.05.02 - The conversion process to ASP (active server pages - data is pulled from a database rather than written into the HTML) is underway. Please drop a line to webmaster@wixq.com if you run into any trouble with these ASP pages. We've tested them out on several different browsers, but nothing's ever perfect when dealing with Internet-programming. - 01.21.02 - A 64kb/s "stereo" (two left channels, actually...working on that) Windows Media stream for higher bandwidth connections has arrived. - 01.15.02 - The new Spring 2002 Program Grid is here. Check 'er out. - 01.08.02 - New spring 2002 station/executive council meeting schedule published. Further schedules, including the brand new program grid, are to come very soon. - 11.06.01 - The Fall 2001 trainees arrive. Behold the nearly full program grid! - 10.29.01 - We instituted some fancy scrollbar color-setting. This is absolutely pointless, of course, but it ain't hurting anybody. - 10.02.01 - WIXQ.com publishes its first of, hopefully, many Urban music reports. Of course we should've done so a long time back, considering WIXQ has featured Urban programming for many years, but recent technological reporting innovations finally got our hindquarters in gear. - 09.23.01 - Two new items added to the history page. The first is an article from a recent issue of the Millersville Review. The second is a copy of the 1997 program guide booklet that was issued a few years back. Enjoy... - 08.25.01 - Updated the catalogs page with some new URLs and info. - 08.08.01 - Finally instituted a guestbook. Go on, you know you want to sign it... - 07.17.01 - The site was updated for Fall 2001, program grid-wise. More changes to come. - 06.12.01 - Added a new image to the History page. - 05.22.01 - Changes on the Alumni Reunion page, including the addition of an updates section. - 05.12.01 - Updated the site for the summer break. Seems like a long time to go without WIXQ, but we'll all manage (barely). - 05.04.01 - The finals week schedule is starting to come to order. We've put its tentative form up on this site. Follow the link on the program grid. - 04.23.01 - The newly updated executive and station council listings were published, and most related updates (E-mail addresses, contact info, etc.) have been updated. Of course, if you find one that I missed, please contact me at webmaster@wixq.com. - 04.11.01 - Redid the way the popups work on the history page. It should be a lot less annoying to view multiple pictures/articles...in theory... - 04.05.01 - Extensive program grid updates, all of the now ex-trainees getting their timeslots. Erik's graphics error (see 04.02 entry) seems to have been corrected by his changing monitor color resolution to 32-bit. Interesting. I don't have any troubles on my PC when switching down to 16-bit, so I assume it's specifically hardware-related in Erik's case. If you're using lower than 32-bit resolution, however, and encounter the same issue, please let me know (webmaster@wixq.com). - 04.04.01 - Got rid of all the April Fools joke business. Har har. - 04.02.01 - Fixed some broken links and general new-page bugs. Tested the site in several browsers to make sure it didn't wig out - Erik had reported seeing some odd hyphen-esque on-screen characters, randomly throughout the website, but this was determined to be a graphics-driver related error, and not one having to do with the website. If you are encountering the same problem, however, don't be hesitant in E-mailing me (webmaster@wixq.com). - 04.01.01 - A monster is born... WIXQ.com receives so drastic a facelift, it becomes WIXQ.com Mark III. This version of the site is a lot 'cleaner' than the old one, and should run a bit faster because of that. Less repeated code equals less loading time. Also, the design/HCI aspect was considered a little more than its predecessor, so hopefully navigation of this version of the site will require less fumbling around through ambiguous menus. The current page design is kind-of a stopgap measure of sorts and will be evolving, graphically, over the next few weeks. Comments on the site? E-mail webmaster@wixq.com. |
